Trojans Set To Host No. 22 FSU

The Troy Trojans softball team is back in Troy, and the Trojans are ready to host the 22nd ranked Florida State Seminoles on Wednesday.
“Florida State had a couple of games that were canceled early in the season, and they were looking to add a few to their schedule if possible,” Trojans head coach Melanie Davis said.
The Trojans and Seminoles are set to start at 4 p.m.
The Trojans and Seminoles met in the FSU Invitational earlier this season, and the Seminoles grabbed a close win from the Trojans, 2-0.
The loss added to the Seminoles edge in the series. Troy is 9-21-1 all-time against FSU.
“Florida State has a very talented team,” Davis said. “We have a long tradition of playing them, and they won the last meeting against us. We're looking forward to the opportunity to play them again.”
The Seminoles are 22-8 overall and 2-1 in the ACC.
The day was originally set to feature a trio of games. The Georgia State Panthers canceled their double-header of games. At this time there is no make-up date set for the Panthers' games.
The Trojans will jump back into Sun Belt Conference play this weekend at home. The Trojans are hosting Western Kentucky University.
