Troy Looks for Sweep of WKU

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The Troy University Trojans return to Sun Belt Conference action for the first time in two weeks, facing Western Kentucky University on the road at Nick Denes Field.
Troy (15-7, 4-1 SBC) comes off a late inning 5-4 victory over WKU Friday night at Nick Denes Field. Travis tossed a complete in a 5-3 win on Saturday.
The Trojans will send sophomore righthander Ryan Ellison (0-1, 6.33 ERA) to the mound to face Western Kentucky (10-8, 3-5 SBC).
Meanwhile, Western Kentucky will send Bart Carter (1-2, 7.52 ERA) to the hill, looking to get a win.
Troy is led by Beau Brooks (.403, six doubles, two triple, two homeruns and 14 RBI), Lance Miller (.378, three doubles and eight RBI) and Bryan Miller (.337, 13 doubles, one homerun and a team-high 17 RBI) at the plate thus far this season.
First pitch is scheduled for 1 p.m. and can be heard locally on WTBF-94.7 FM with Barry McKnight providing the play-by-play. Today's game is the third of three on the weekend against the Hilltoppers.
