TROY, Ala. - The Trojan baseball team returns to the diamond tonight for a baseball game but the guys that will be playing, might surprise you.
The annual alumni game will take play at Riddle-Pace Field. Old faces from years past and players that have only been away form Troy for a season or two will take the field tonight for what might be an exciting game.
"Homecoming is always a good time for any school," head coach Bobby Pierce said. "This is also a chance for some guys to come back and play baseball and enjoy our new facility because several of them have not seen what we have done here in a long time."
The game will be one of many things taking place on campus this weekend for homecoming. It had been several years since the last alumni game but Pierce wants to make it an annual event.
"I'm excited for the players that will be playing tonight," Pierce said. "It will be a lot of fun and I hope we have a good turn out to watch these guys play because they helped lay the foundation for what we have now."
The game will start at 7 pm and admission is free.
