Trojans' Baseball Game With Samford Postponed
4/11/2007 12:00:00 AM | Baseball
The Troy University baseball game scheduled for tonight against Samford has been postponed for a second straight day due to impending weather. A new makeup date for the game has not yet been set.
The Trojans will return to action this weekend in a crucial three-game Sun Belt Conference series against league-leading Louisiana-Lafayette. The Ragin' Cajuns were the only team to take a series from Troy in 2006 and enter this weekend's series with a 2 1/2 game lead over the Trojans this year.
Friday's game is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start. Saturday's game is also currently scheduled for a 6 p.m. start, but will likely move to earlier in the day because of expected rain Saturday evening. Sunday's game is set for a 1 p.m. start.
Troy enters the weekend with a 19-14 overall record and a 7-5 mark in Sun Belt play. ULL comes in with a sparkling 26-7 overall mark, including an 11-4 record in conference play.
