Powell Named Sun Belt Player of the Week

Powell, a senior, had a huge week at the plate for the Trojans hitting .550 (11-for-20) over the course of seven games as Troy went 5-2 for the week.
Her 10 RBI's for the week pushed her to the team lead with 16.
Powell also connected for a home run against Florida A&M and doubled three times, along with scoring five runs and walking on three occasions.
As a result of her sizzling week Powell leads the team with a .453 batting average and in five other statistical categories.
She also leads the Trojan squad with a 1.280 OPS.
Powell and the Trojans return to action as they face the Auburn Tigers in Troy at the Trojan Softball Complex on Wednesday evening with first pitch scheduled for 6 PM.
Admission to all home softball games is free.
