Trojans Ready for First Home Game of Season

The Trojans (6-0) are coming off a 4-2 win over Georgia Tech last Wednesday. The Trojans scored four runs in the top of the seventh inning to take the win. Florida State (8-1) defeated Memphis 8-1 in their last game.
Stacey Dwyer's two-run home run with two out in the seventh inning were the Trojans' first runs of the game against Georgia Tech after being shut out for six and two-thirds.
First baseman Jessica Lyle and shortstop Courtney Davis also came around to score giving the Trojans the win.
The Trojans will face off against a former teammate when senior Brittany Krbec comes back to Troy. Krbec was a three year starter for Troy before transferring to Tallahassee for her senior year.
The Trojans have won three of the last four meetings between the two schools, including a sweep of the 2005 doubleheader at Troy. Overall the Seminoles lead the all-time series 16-6-1, but only hold a 5-3-1 advantage in Troy.
The game is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. at the Trojan Softball Complex. The second game will start about 20 minutes after the completion of the first game. Admission to all home softball games is free.
