Shannon Lemons joined the Troy staff as an assistant strength and conditioning coach in Aug. 2011 after serving as a graduate assistant at the University of Alabama for two years.

Lemons is certified through the collegiate strength and conditioning coaches association and USA weight lifting certified.

While at Alabama, Lemons assisted with women’s basketball, women’s golf, women’s softball, track and field and swimming & diving programs. She was responsible for implementing and developing the strength and conditioning programs for cheerleading. Lemmons worked with the 2009 softball College World Series squad, the women's golf 2010 SEC Championship team, the 2011 UCA Naitonal Champions and the 2011 women's basketbal team that reached the Sweet 16 of the NIT.

Lemons earned her master’s degree in human performance from Alabama in May 2011 and earned a bachelor’s degree in exercise and sport science from Alabama in Dec. 2008.
