Franklin Miskelly enters his first season on Troy’s coaching staff in 2026-27.
Miskelly comes to Troy following one season as an assistant coach at ULM under former Troy head coach Phil Cunningham. Prior to his time in Monroe, Miskelly spent two seasons as Kansas State’s director of video and analytics. During his tenure, the Wildcats won 35 games and earned a berth in the 2024 NIT.
While in Manhattan, Miskelly assisted in the development of multiple All-Big 12 selections, including Arthur Kaluma and Tylor Perry in 2023-24, as well as Coleman Hawkins and David N’Guessan in 2024-25.
The Flowood, Miss., native arrived at Kansas State after two seasons as a graduate assistant at Mississippi State under Ben Howland and Chris Jans. During that span, the Bulldogs won 39 games and reached the postseason in back-to-back seasons, including an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2022-23.
He also contributed to the development of First Team All-SEC selections Iverson Molinar (2022) and Tolu Smith (2023).
Miskelly began his time at Mississippi State as a student manager from 2019-21. In total, the Bulldogs won 77 games during his tenure with the program, highlighted by two 20-win seasons (2019-20, 2022-23) and three postseason appearances.
Between his roles as a manager and graduate assistant in Starkville, Miskelly spent six months as a graduate assistant at Southern Miss.
He got his start in coaching as an assistant at Winston Academy in Louisville, Miss., where he worked in all facets of the program and served as acting head coach on multiple occasions.
Miskelly earned his bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from Mississippi State in 2021 and completed his master’s in sport administration in 2023.
He and his wife, McKenzie, have a son, Josiah.
