Dr. Hilary Parkin is currently the Associate Director of Athletics for Student-Athlete Services and Senior Woman Administrator. Parkin joined the Troy Athletics staff in 2018 and was promoted to her current role in the summer of 2025. Additionally, Parkin is the sport administrator for Troy's women's basketball and volleyball programs.
Prior to joining the Troy Athletics staff, Parkin served as the graduate assistant with the Office of Student-Athlete Services in 2013. After graduating, Parkin pursued her business career with Troy Sports Properties to promote college athletics marketing and the Guelph Chamber of Commerce advocating for business prosperity. She returned to Troy University in 2018 as an Academic Advisor and was promoted to Director of Student-Athlete Services in 2022.Â
A former student-athlete, Parkin was an active member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, serving as president from 2011-2012 and the Student Government Association as Valkyrie Athletics Chair. Parkin was a four-year starter for the Converse University soccer program. Serving as a three-year captain, she was selected to the Conference Carolinas All-Conference Second Team twice. Parkin was awarded the Weisiger Cup for student-athlete excellence in 2012.Â
Parkin earned her bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources from Converse University in 2012, followed by a Master of Business Administration from Troy University in 2014. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Sport Management in 2024.
