Joe Discher enters his second season as Troy's Director of Player Personnel. He arrived at Troy in December of 2023 as the Recruiting Graduate Assistant and was promoted to Director of Player Personnel in July of 2024.

Discher, alongside General Manager Drew Casa, helped lead the Trojans in landing the Sun Belt's #1 recruiting class per On3 during the Dec. 2024 signing period.

Before joining Troy, Discher spent time at Cincinnati, where he attended college while being a Recruiting Assistant for 5 seasons. In his time at Cincinnati, Discher helped construct the roster that made the College Football Playoffs in 2021 as the only Group of 5 Program to ever make the 4 Team College Playoff. He also helped the program transition to the Power 5 in 2023, where Cincinnati joined the Big 12.

Discher, a Dayton, Ohio, native, is the son of Skip and Laura Discher. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Cincinnati in Sports Administration in 2023.
