2016-17 (Junior): Garnered All-Sun Belt Third team accolades in a season in which Person climbed higher in the Troy record books… Led the Trojans with 94 3-pointers to mark the third consecutive season in which he led the team in the category… Ranked second on the team with 14.8 points per game… Started 36 of 37 games and had double-digit scoring in 30 of those contests… Exploded for a career-high 39 points at home against UT Arlington on a career-high 10 3-pointers, which was just one shy of the school record set in the 258-point game against DeVry University in 1992… Was named the Sun Belt Tournament Most Outstanding Player after leading Troy to the school’s first-ever Sun Belt Tournament championship… Had double-digit scoring in all four tournament games with a high of 26 against Appalachian State in the first game and topped off with 15 points in the championship win over Texas State… Set career-highs in free throws and free throw attempts when we went a perfect 12-12 on the road against UL Lafayette… Moved into sixth place on Troy’s all-time scoring list at 1481 after finishing with a career-best 548 points on the year… Sits just 53 points shy of owning the Division I Troy record for most career points… Enters his senior year six 3-pointers short of breaking the school all-time record for made 3-pointers… Had the best free-throw shooting season of his career and second-best in the Sun Belt with an 81.8 percentage on 126-154 shooting… Ranked third in the conference with 94 3-pointers and fourth in percentage at 40.0 percent… Scored 15 points against Duke in Troy’s March Madness contest…

2015-16 (Sophomore): Led the Trojans in minutes played (1089), field goals made (403), field goals attempted (171), 3-pointers made (96) and attempted (257), points per game (16.8), points (521) and free throw percentage (.761)... Made a 3-pointer in every game of the season and continued his NCAA leading streak of making at least one 3-pointer in every game to 60 games... Led the Sun Belt Conference in 3-pointers by eight and his average of 3.1 3-pointers per game also led the conference... Named Sun Belt All-Second Team... Was fifth in the conference in minutes played... Tied for 28th in the NCAA in made 3-pointers and tied for 19th in 3-pointers per game... Ranked sixth in the Sun Belt in scoring and 14th in free throw percentage... Scored in double digits in 26 of 31 games... Scored 30 points on the road against Appalachian State a game after scoring 28 against South Alabama... Hit 10 of 14 free throws against Arkansas State... 2014-15 (Freshman): Named the Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year… Set the Troy Division I freshman points record with 412 points... Averaged 14.2 points per game, the second best on the team and 10th best in the conference… Averaged 2.6 3-pointers per game, which ranked 68th in the nation, and fourth amongst freshmen in the NCAA… Shot 37 percent (74-of-200), which was the fourth best percentage for freshmen in the country, 61st overall… Made a 3-pointer in every game, the most since Bobby Dixon hit a trey in 34-straight games, spanning over two seasons… Shot 79.1 percent (72-of-91) from the charity stripe, the eighth best in the Sun Belt… Led all freshmen, sixth overall, in the Sun Belt shooting 37.2 percent from long range… Sunk 2.6 3-pointers per game, the second most in the Sun Belt… Scored in double figures in 25 of 29 games during his freshman season, including five games with 20+ points… Scored a career-high 31 points in Troy’s 71-66 win over UT Arlington as he shot 11-of-16 from the floor, and 5-of-6 from downtown… Scored 3+ 3-pointers in 11 games… Led the Trojans in points seven times… First true freshman to start a season opener since Rhodney Donaldson made his debut as a Trojan on Nov. 27, 1993, vs. George Mason.

Earned Alabama 1A Player of the Year honors two years in a row… In the regional final, scored a career-high 55 points… Scored more than 40 points four times and had 16 games with at least 30 points during his senior season… Finished his high school campaign with 2,194 points... Led Brantley to the state championship game during his junior season… Person was also a standout quarterback and pitcher for the Bulldogs.
