Eric House joined the Troy baseball program in 2010 as the teams’ volunteer assistant coach. He works with outfielders and hitters while also serving as the first base coach. In addition to his on-field duties, House helps coordinate on-campus recruiting as well as assist with travel arrangements.
House spent the two seasons prior to arriving at Troy as the graduate assistant coach at Trevecca Nazarene University. While at Trevecca, House was in charge of the outfielders as well as assisting with hitters, strength and conditioning, recruiting and heading up the advanced scouting efforts.
In his two years at Trevecca, the Trojans posted an overall record of 72-39 which included a TranSouth regular season championship and a region tournament bid.
House started his college playing career at Jackson State Community College before transferring to Trevecca Nazarene College. As a senior House hit .348 at Trevecca with 29 runs scored, 12 doubles, a triple, 41 RBI, and was successful on eight of 14 stolen base attempts.
As a junior, House hit .305 with 27 runs scored, eight doubles, two triples, two home runs, and had 30 RBI. As a junior, House was successful on eight of nine stolen base attempts. On his career House was successful on 16 of 23 stolen base attempts.
The Old Hickory, Tennessee native graduated with a degree in Business Administration from Trevecca in 2007, and completed his Masters of Business Administration degree in 2009.
