Trojans in the NFL - Week Seven
Mario Addison (DE, Chicago Bears) – Addison and the Bears enjoyed a bye week during Week 8.
Jerrel Jernigan – (WR, New York Giants) – Jernigan was active in New York’s 20-17 win over Miami, but did not most any statistics.
Elbert Mack, (CB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers) – Mack and Tampa Bay were on a bye week during Week 8.
Sherrod Martin (FS, Carolina Panthers) – started at free safety for Carolina for the seventh consecutive week and recorded five tackles in the Panther’s 24-21 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.
Steve McClendon, (NT, Pittsburgh Steelers) – In Pittsburgh’s 25-17 road win over the New England Patriots, McClendon was active and played as a reserve at nose tackle in the victory.
Leodis McKelvin, (CB, Buffalo Bills) – McKelvin had two tackles and two pass deflections in Buffalo’s 23-0 shutout of the Washington Redskins.
Cameron Sheffield, (LB, Kansas City Chiefs) – Recorded a tackle-for-loss on special teams in Kansas City’s 23-20 win on Monday Night Football against AFC West rival, San Diego.
Lawrence Tynes – (K, New York Giants) – In a 20-17 victory over Miami, Tynes hit a 25-yard field goal in the second quarter, as well as a 29-yard field goal in the 4th quarter. Tynes also was 2-for-2 on extra points.
Osi Umenyiora – (DE, New York Giants) – Recorded two tackles, one for a loss, and posted one of the five sacks New York had in a 20-17 win over the Miami Dolphins.
Demarcus Ware, (OLB, Dallas Cowboys) – In the Cowboy’s 34-7 road loss on Sunday Night Football to the Philadelphia Eagles, Ware led the Dallas defense with 11 tackles, five for a loss, as well as a season-high four sacks for (-23) yards. He also forced a fumble and posted four quarterback hurries. Ware has had four multi-sack efforts in just seven games. Ware is second in the NFL in sacks with 12.0 and is just a half sack behind NFL leader Jared Allen who has 12.5 sacks in 2011.
