Trojans To Host Coach O Invitational
The Troy Trojans will host the annual Coach O Invitational track and field meet on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at the J.O. Colley Track and Field Complex. For more information on the meet, click on the information above (must have Adobe Acrobat Reader to view information).
The Troy University Athletics Department and the community of Troy look forward to providing a quality competition on the above date. The Trojans are committed to making this an outstanding meet. The sponsor of the meet, Charles Oliver (a.k.a. Coach O) continues to provide watches, bags and t-shirts for the meet. All standard events will be held with the exception of the 5000 meters; instead there will be a 3000 meter race. The 3000-meter steeplechase will also be run this year.
INFORMATION
The event will be host on a six-year old APS Polyurethane 400-meter track with eight 42" lanes. All jumps and javelins approaches will be contested on the same surface. Only 1/4" spikes are allowed on the track. Brushed concrete shot, discus and hammer rings will be used. Timing will be provided by CFPI Timing & Data.
ENTRY INFORMATION
This meet is an open meet. Unattached athletes will be allowed to compete in this meet, if they follow entry process. No high school athletes will be allowed to compete for their school, club or unattached; per NCAA rules. Go to www.coacho.com to register for this season's meet. All teams will be allowed three entries per event; unlimited in 800 and up and all field events. All entries must be received no later than Wednesday, April 21, 2009 at 5:00 p.m. (CST). There is a $200 per team entry fee ($300 for men's and women's combined), $15 per unattached/individual entries. Individual entries must pay online.
