Troy Welcoming Back National Champions, Conference Champions and Campus Leaders for Homecoming

TROY, Ala. – Homecoming on Troy's campus is always a special occasion, and the 2026 edition on Nov. 7, when the Trojans host Louisiana Tech at The Vet, will be no different.
In addition to the traditional Homecoming pageantry – downtown parade, tailgating, crowning of Homecoming Queen and the Homecoming Court – Troy Athletics is rolling out the red carpet for several special groups who have impacted Troy Athletics and Troy University over the years.
Each member of the recognized groups may request up to four complimentary tickets for the game, and all will be honored during special ceremonies throughout the game.

Led by All-Americans Pratt Lyons (DE) and Kerry Jenkins (OL), the Trojans posted a 12-2 overall record and advanced to the semifinals of the NCAA FCS Playoffs following victories over Florida A&M and Murray State in the opening two rounds.
Joe Jackson rushed for a program record 17 touchdowns while Arrid Gregory completed the two-headed rushing attack, finishing the season with 1,334 yards and nine touchdowns. Defensively, Lyons was named the Southland Defensive Player of the Year and Larry Blakeney was named Southland Coach of the Year.
1976 Men's Golf & 1986 Women's Golf National Champions

The first of three NCAA Division II National Titles under Troy University Sports Hall of Fame head coach Mike Griffin, the 1976 men's team won but one of their regular season tournaments led by All-Americans Ronny Mobley, Dan Reese and Ricky Beck. Along the way to their national title, the Trojans defeated many Division I teams, including in-state foes Auburn and Alabama.
Led by Troy University Sports Hall of Fame coach Chris Force, the women's team rallied from a 10-stroke deficit on the final day of the 1986 Golf Coaches Association Division II National Championship to win the program's second National Championship in three seasons. The Trojans competed against one of the toughest schedules in the country with the LSU Invitational, Duke Invitational and South Carolina Invitational.
