TROY, Ala. – Troy's annual High School Band Day at The Vet is set for Saturday, Nov. 21, when Troy hosts Georgia Southern in the final regular-season home game. The Sound of the South invites high school band students throughout the Southeast to join them and experience a Troy Football gameday as honorary members for the day.
High school bands that attend will have the opportunity to participate in a pregame practice with the Sound of the South on the football practice fields. During this time, they will receive instruction from the Sound of the South staff and perform alongside current members of the famed Sound of the South.
As part of the game, students will be seated in the South End Zone of The Vet, directly next to the Sound of the South. Halftime will feature one of the highlights of the Fall, with the Sound of the South joined by all the High School Band Day participants for a stirring halftime performance.
High school bands can register for the event by contacting Dr. Jerianne Larson at jslarson@troy.edu.
