Troy Athletics Announces 2026 Horn Beverage Tailgate Concert Series Lineup

TROY, Ala. – The Horn Beverage Tailgate Concert Series is back for another season with a concert in Tailgate Terrace before each of Troy's six home games at The Vet this fall. The 2026 lineup includes The Mitchell Hudson Band, Johnny Barron and the Waterfall Band, Park Band, Carson Carlisle Band, POPulus and Blackberry Breeze.
Each act takes the stage three hours before kickoff each week and plays a two-hour set, with a brief break for Trojan Walk (2:15 before kickoff). Back again this season is the Chill Zone at the front of the stage, featuring picnic tables and umbrellas where fans can take a break and enjoy the show. Tailgate Terrace will also once again feature a Kids Zone with inflatables, the Horn Beverage Beer Tent and auxiliary television screens to view other college football games.

• Performance Time: 3-5 p.m.

Known for their high-energy performances and engaging stage presence, Carson Carlisle and his band keep audiences entertained from the first song to the last.
A native Alabamian, Carson Carlisle has built a reputation for delivering an authentic live music experience at tailgates, festivals, fraternities, weddings and venues throughout the region. With a setlist that spans generations, the Carson Carlisle Band offers something for every music fan, making them a crowd favorite wherever they perform.

About: Johnny Barron and The Waterfall Band are an iconic group from the greater Troy area. They have entertained members of the Troy community for years and continue to be one of the most popular groups in the area.
Southern Miss – Tuesday, Oct. 6 (7 p.m. Kickoff)
• Band: The Park Band
• Performance Time: 4-6 p.m.
About: The Park Band has become one of Alabama's premier bands with a perfect mix of rock, Motown, country and today's hits. The band has played hundreds of events across the southeast since its start in 2008 and is comprised of band members that all of the Troy community knows and loves.

About: The Mitchell Hudson Band brings an authentic sound and high-energy stage presence that keeps crowds singing and dancing all day long. Hailing from Fairhope, Alabama, the band was originally formed for a friend's wedding before quickly building a loyal following across the Southeast. Known for blending traditional country favorites with modern country hits, Southern rock classics and crowd-pleasing party anthems, the Mitchell Hudson Band has performed at weddings, festivals, Greek events, tailgates and venues from Louisiana to Georgia.

About: POPulus is Troy University's popular music ensemble comprised of students in the Music Industry Program. Artists of diverse and eclectic styles blend together with a concert production team in a unique musical environment honoring all genres of American popular music. With their dynamic vibe and distinctive name, their music appeals across genres, generations and geographic borders. POPulus not only plays covers from well-known artists but also original songs written by students from Troy University's Music Industry Program.

About: One of the most dedicated bands in the Southeast, Blackberry Breeze boasts a diverse song list people love and a show that will leave party-goers wanting more! With the sole purpose of entertaining their audience to the max, Blackberry Breeze makes any celebration a huge success.
Labeled as one of the best cover bands in the state of Alabama, Blackberry Breeze was born out of a garage in Dadeville, Ala., in 2012. The high-energy cover band plays the best tunes from the 80s, 90s, 2000s, as well as rock/classic rock, top 40, hip-hop, reggae and Motown.
