TROY, Ala. – To help cheer on the Troy women's basketball team's first-round matchup against No. 2 Kansas in the WBIT, Troy Athletics and Baumhower's Victory Grille are proud to partner for an official watch party from 6-9 p.m.
"It encourages us so much to know our supporters will gather together to watch our game," head coach Chanda Rigby said. "It's going to be a war in Kansas, and we appreciate every fan who is behind us."
To help fans celebrate the postseason appearance, Baumhower's will have their 'ladies' night' specials running on select appetizers.
Thursday night marks women's basketball's first-ever appearance in the WBIT and first-ever meeting with Kansas. It's also the third straight postseason bid for the Trojans and ninth in Rigby's tenure. The Trojans are 4-1 in their last five and 7-3 in their last 10 postseason games, after back-to-back WNIT selections in which they advanced to the Fab 4 (2023-24) and finished runner-up in the title game (2024-25).
Troy's trio of All-Sun Belt honorees, Zay Dyer, Fortuna Ngnawo and Emani Jenkins will lead the team into battle under the winningest coach in program history, Rigby. Dyer also earned Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Year, All-Sun Belt First Team, All-Sun Belt Defensive Team and SBC All-Tournament team after sitting tied for second in the country with 23 double-doubles.
The game will be aired on ESPN+ as the Trojans take on the Jayhawks in the Allen Fieldhouse. Fans can also listen in on the call from Dan Peck, starting at 6:10 p.m. on the Troy Sports Radio Network.
