TROY, Ala. – Troy Football adjusted its 2026 non-conference schedule with the addition of a road game at Utah State and moving its game at Missouri to earlier in the season following the Southeastern Conference's change to a nine-game league schedule. The Trojans also made changes and additions to their 2027, 2028, 2029 and 2030 non-conference schedules.
Troy's non-conference slate in 2026 opens with back-to-back home games against Sam Houston State (Sept. 5) and Alabama State (Sept. 12) before trips to Missouri (Sept. 19) and Utah State (Sept. 26) to close out the pre-Sun Belt schedule.
Mississippi State bought out of a contract for a home-and-home series with Troy, which had the Trojans playing in Starkville this upcoming season. Troy's trip to Utah State replaces the lost game with the Bulldogs and is a one-game contract.
"The evolving landscape of collegiate football consistently presents new challenges; however, we were proactive in preparing for this possibility even before the SEC modified its scheduling model," Director of Athletics Kyle George said. "Our new 2026 non-conference schedule creates greater competitive balance within our schedule, enabling us to align all non-conference contests in September. Additionally, these adjustments provide meaningful financial benefits to our program."
Troy's home schedule also features four Sun Belt home games; the Sun Belt Conference traditionally releases the full conference schedule in early March each year. Fans can purchase or renew their season tickets for the 2026 season by visiting TroyTrojans.com/FBTickets.
General admission seating for all six home games is just $75, and fans can take advantage of a Family Pack discount: general admission tickets drop to $60 per seat when purchasing four or more. Reserved seats start as low as $135 for the season, with Family Pack discounts dropping prices down to just $100 per reserved seat.
The Trojans are coming off their third Sun Belt West Division title in the last four seasons and are the only Group of Five program in the country to return an All-American for last season. Additionally, quarterbacks Goose Crowder and Tucker Kilcrease return, as does Sun Belt sack leader Donnie Smith.
