Scott Taylor Renfroe Named Semifinalist for Campbell Trophy

TROY, Ala. – Troy senior kicker Scott Taylor Renfroe has been named a semifinalist for the Campbell Trophy, the nation's premier award that combines academic success, football performance and exemplary leadership.

Renfroe, a Troy native, is one of 177 semifinalists across divisions of collegiate football, including 78 from the Football Bowl Subdivision. The National Football Foundation will announce 12-16 finalists on Oct. 22, and each of them will receive an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship as a member of the 2025 NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class Presented by Fidelity Investments.

Renfroe is one of the best kickers in Troy history, ranking third in field goal percentage (82.1) and sixth in field goals made, while checking in seventh in kicker scoring. He has made 32-of-39 career field goal attempts, and his 19 makes in 2023 were one shy of the single-season program record. Also in 2023, Renfroe finished one point shy of tying the program's single-season record as he finished with 107 points on the year.

Renfroe has already earned his undergraduate degree in accounting, graduating Cum Laude, and is currently pursuing his Master's in Business Administration while completing his playing eligibility.

Off the field, Renfroe is a member of the Sorrell Men's Society on Troy's campus, in addition to being a member of the Troy Accounting Society and serving five years on the Troy Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.

Troy's Austin Stidham was a finalist for the Campbell Trophy during the 2022 season.
