TROY, Ala. – A jam-packed 2025-26 Troy women's basketball schedule is unveiled Tuesday afternoon with Sweet 16 member Kansas State, SEC opponents Missouri and Alabama and a pair of games in Las Vegas for the Resorts World Women's Basketball Classic highlighted in nonconference play.
"We are looking forward to playing this schedule," head coach Chanda Rigby said. "One of our biggest challenges will be our very first game against Toledo. We get to play it in Trojan Arena in front of our fans. What a great way to begin a season."
Troy opens the season with a pair of exhibition games against Mississippi State and AUM, before remaining in Trojan Arena for its first three matchups. The first sees the MAC-SBC Challenge against Toledo to start the regular season on Nov. 3, before eyeing revenge against Mississippi Valley State on Nov. 6. The team closes out the trio of home matchups with a WNIT rematch against Chattanooga on Nov. 12.
Manhattan, Kan., sees Troy's first road game as it takes on the Kansas State Wildcats for the first-ever meeting between the two on Nov. 18. The Wildcats defeated Fairfield and Kentucky to advance to the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament last season as the No. 5 seed in the Spokane Region. Two days later (Nov. 20), the Trojans face SEC opponent Missouri in Mizzou Arena to close out a pair of power-four matchups.
Montana State brings Troy home for a lone date on Nov. 24 before the team heads to Las Vegas, Nev. for a two-game in-season tournament (Resorts World Women's Basketball Classic) against Texas Southern (Nov. 27) and Florida Gulf Coast (Nov. 29). The program continues on the road with a trip up to play Longwood in the Joan Perry Brock Center on Dec. 3.
Another brief trip back home to face Oakwood on Dec. 10 prepares Troy for its SBC opener at Old Dominion on Dec. 17. Immediately, league play pauses for Troy as it remains in-state to play its second SEC opponent and No. 5 seed from the 2025 NCAA Tournament in Alabama (Dec. 21).
2026 begins with a New Year's Day Sun Belt Conference game at the Cajundome to play Louisiana before heading to Southern Miss on Jan. 3.
On Jan. 7, Troy welcomes the Lone Star State program in Texas State for its conference home opener, before inviting the defending SBC Tournament champions, Arkansas State, on Jan. 10.
Troy proceeds to alternate between home and away weekends, starting with a pair of road games against ULM (Jan. 14) and Texas State (Jan. 17). Then, Troy plays the Peach State programs, Georgia Southern (Jan. 22) and Georgia State (Jan. 24), within Trojan Arena. Finally, Troy heads to Marshall on Jan. 28 and Coastal Carolina on Jan. 31.
The next five SBC games see Troy remain in the friendly confines of Trojan Arena as they take on App State (Feb. 4), Louisiana (Feb. 12), ULM (Feb. 14), in-state rival South Alabama (Feb. 18) and Southern Miss (Feb. 21) – Troy awaits its second MAC-SBC Challenge opponent to travel to on Feb. 7.
A trip to Arkansas State on Feb. 24 starts the final week of the regular season as the Trojans look to avenge an 0-3 season against the Red Wolves in 2024-25 that included a semifinal exit in the SBC Tournament. The regular season concludes in the Mitchell Center as the Trojans face the Jaguars of South Alabama on Feb. 27.
Troy's 30-game regular season schedule reaches its peak from March 3-9 when the team competes in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in Pensacola, Fla.
