TROY, Ala – Fresh off a Sun Belt Championship, the 2025-26 Troy men's basketball schedule was announced Tuesday by head coach Scott Cross.
"Our non-conference schedule is the schedule of 'ats', as we will be on the road for all but four games," said head coach Scott Cross. "We were road warriors last season, which helped us win a championship. We plan on doing the same this year too."
Troy will open the season with a two-game road swing, beginning at Kent State on Nov. 3 as part of the MAC-SBC Challenge, followed by a Nov. 7 matchup at Furman - the first-ever meeting between the two programs.
The Trojans' lone home game in the month of November will be the Nov. 11 opener inside Trojan Arena against NCCAA member Pensacola Christian.
Troy will then embark on its longest road trip of the season, first by heading west to California for four games. The trip will include contests against Loyola Marymount (Nov. 14) and Cal State Northridge (Nov. 16), before tilts against San Diego State (Nov. 18) and USC (Nov. 20).
From California, the Trojans will head to Fort Myers, Fla. to participate in the 2025 Coconut Hoops Tournament from Nov. 24-26. The field and matchups will be released at a later date.
"I am looking forward to our eight-day trip to California followed by our multi-team event in Fort Meyers," added Cross. "We will be extremely prepared for conference play after completing this tough non-conference schedule."
Troy will return home to Trojan Arena for a matchup with West Georgia on Dec. 1, before hosting Division III LaGrange on Dec. 6.
A short trip to Birmingham to face UAB on Dec. 14 will close out the Troy non-conference slate.
Troy will open conference play with three consecutive games inside Trojan Arena, beginning with Marshall on Dec. 20. After the Sun Belt holiday break, the Trojans will host Texas State on New Year's Eve, followed by a matchup with in-state conference rival South Alabama on Jan. 3.
Troy then hits the road for a rematch of last season's Sun Belt Championship game at Arkansas State on Jan. 7.
After a Jan. 10 contest against Louisiana, the Trojans return home to host Southern Miss (Jan. 14) and Arkansas State (Jan. 17).
A two-game road trip follows, with matchups against Old Dominion (Jan. 21) and Georgia Southern (Jan. 24).
The conference schedule continues with the Trojans welcoming James Madison (Jan. 29) and Appalachian State (1/31) to Troy.
The Trojans will then hit the road with games at Georgia State (Feb. 4), Texas State (Feb. 11), Southern Miss (Feb. 14), ULM (Feb. 18), and South Alabama (Feb. 21).
The road stretch will be briefly interrupted by a home game as part of the MAC-SBC Challenge on Feb. 7. Troy's opponent will be announced at a later date.
The regular season concludes with dates against Louisiana (Feb. 24) and ULM (Feb. 27) inside Trojan Arena.
The 2026 Sun Belt Basketball Championship will take place March 3–9 at the Bay Center in Pensacola, Fla., marking the sixth consecutive year the tournament has been held in Pensacola.
