Troy Lands Four on All-SBC Preseason Team

TROY, Ala. – Troy landed four players on the Sun Belt Preseason All-Conference Team, the league office announced Monday on the eve of the annual Sun Belt Conference Football Media Days in New Orleans.

Offensive lineman Eli Russ, spear Devin Lafayette, defensive tackle Luis Media and kicker Scott Taylor Renfroe all earned spots on the second team. Russ, Lafayette and Medina return to the All-SBC team following postseason honors in 2024, while Renfroe is making his first-ever appearance on an All-SBC team.Â

Troy players report to campus July 29 and fall camp starts the following morning on July 30. The Trojans open the 2025 season hosting Nicholls at The Vet on Aug. 30. Fans can catch Troy head coach Gerad Parker, quarterback Goose Crowder and Lafayette at Sun Belt Media Day live on ESPN+ at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
