Troy Ranked No. 19 in Final Mid Major Poll

TROY, Ala. – Following a trip to the NCAA Tournament and one of the most successful seasons in program history, the Troy men's basketball team was ranked No. 19 in the final CollegeInsider.com Mid Major Top 25.
Troy made its third appearance in the NCAA Tournament this season and its first since 2017, when it took on No. 3 Kentucky in the opening round in Milwaukee. The Trojans earned their berth in March Madness after winning the Sun Belt Conference Tournament in early March.
Troy, who went 23-11, was also the Sun Belt's regular season champion and won its most games since the 2003-04 season. Leading the charge all season was Sun Belt Player of the Year Tayton Conerway, who led the team in points (14.2), assists (4.8), steals (2.9) and minutes (30.4).
Scott Cross guided Troy to its fourth-straight season of 20-plus wins and 10-plus conference wins. His 103 wins at Troy are tied for third in program history with Wes Bizilia.
The poll is voted on by 31 mid major coaches and is in its 26th year of existence.
