TROY, Ala. – Troy men's golf added Alabama state champion Jack Lowery to its roster on Wednesday as the Homewood, Ala., product inked a grant in aid agreement with the Trojans and head coach Clay Bounds.
"We are absolutely thrilled to sign Jack Lowery to the Troy Golf family," Bounds said. "Jack has proven that he can play and compete with some of the best players in the country. He's played some phenomenal golf lately, and he'll be sure to make an immediate impact on the team next year. This is a great day for Jack and Troy Golf. Go Trojans."
Lowery ranks in the top 100 in the 2026 class (No. 92) and ranks third in the state of Alabama entering his senior year at Homewood High School. He led the Patriots to the 2024 Alabama 6A state title, shooting an 11-under par over just 27 holes of play.
A varsity player for Homewood since seventh grade, his individual victory was the first in the school's history. In 2025, Lowery carded a 2-under 140 as the Patriots captured back-to-back state titles.
He was named to the Alabama Golf Association Boys All-State Second Team thanks to a four-shot victory at the Alabama-NW Florida PGA Junior at Musgrove Country Club in June, which qualified him for the PGA Junior Championship.
Lowery earned top ten finishes in the AJGA's Mizuno Junior in Arkansas (tied third; June) and the Visit Tuscaloosa Junior (tied second; July) and took home a victory at the AJGO Musgrove event in February.
