TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's basketball program broke out the scoring display Tuesday night with a 114-43 victory over AUM in the lone exhibition match of 2025-26 in a jam-packed Trojan Arena.
"What a night in Trojan Arena," head coach Chanda Rigby said. "We are so appreciative of our fans, especially our sororities and fraternities. It was so fun to open up our new season in Trojan Arena. Our team has shown significant growth from the preseason. Everyone on our team scored, and we executed our defensive schemes. We hope everyone who was here saw a great show and keep showing up throughout the season."
Troy had plenty to work with in front of a packed house in Trojan Arena with numerous sororities and fraternities in attendance for the annual Homecoming Pep Rally, where they announced Mr. and Mrs. Trojan Pride. Throughout the game, the fans treated the players with an intense atmosphere as they watched the Trojans score triple digits with elite play on both ends of the court.
As a unit, the Trojans shot 59.7 percent from the field and 45.5 percent from deep to end two quarters with 30-plus points, with multiple triples coming from Emani Jenkins, Shakirah Edwards and Leilani Guion.
The Trojans also hounded the Warhawks on the defensive end, forcing 30 turnovers to their 14 and scoring 42 points off turnovers. The team also continued its blocking ways with eight rejections.
