Troy Football Lands Five on CSC Academic All-District Team

TROY, Ala. – Troy Football landed five players on the annual College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team as KC Bradford, Tyler Cappi, Caleb Chappelle, Peyton Higgins and Landon Parker were honored for their work in the classroom and on the field; the organization announced Tuesday.
To be eligible for the honor, the student-athletes must have a 3.50 cumulative GPA and have appeared in 90 percent of the institution's matches or must have started in at least 66 percent of the institution's matches.
Bradford, a sophomore from Troy, Ala., carried a perfect 4.0 GPA into the fall as he works towards his degree in global business management. Bradford played in 11 games during the fall and was a starter on Troy's kickoff and punt return units.
Cappi started Troy's games at Iowa and Memphis and played in all but one of the Trojans' contests in 2024. A sophomore from Priceville, Ala., Cappi has a 3.60 GPA in cyber security.
Chappelle earned his degree in December in interdisciplinary studies as The Woodlands, Texas, native entered the fall with a 3.69 GPA. He played in all 12 games for the Trojans and played the second-most snaps on special teams (207) of anyone on the roster.
Higgins started all 12 games and caught 31 passes for 301 yards and a touchdown. The native of Florence, Ala., graduated this past December with a degree in interdisciplinary studies after entering the fall with a 3.50 GPA.
Parker started 10 games and played in all 12 for the Trojans and caught 27 passes for 350 yards. He led Troy with five receptions for 83 yards against Texas State and averaged 13.0 yards per catch. A native of Concord, N.C., Parker entered the fall semester with a 3.64 GPA in post-baccalaureate work.
The Academic All-America Team will be announced Jan. 28.
