Set 1: Troy 25-18ย

Set 3: Troy 25-18

A block from Austin and Stuempfig won the frame. The duo had multiple blocks together during the match and were key to Troy's strong defensive showing.ย
ย
The defense had a good answer for the strong Owl offense from the second set, as they held Kennesaw State to .120 hitting in the third. Butler had her best offensive frame of the match, recording seven kills on ten attempts with no errors.ย
ย
Set 4: Troy 25-17ย
The Trojans never trailed in the fourth set, and with the two sides tied at nine, the Trojans jumped ahead on a Hester kill and never looked back. Olivia Grantham ended the match with an ace, her second of the set.ย ย
ย
Troy served well in the final frame, recording four aces. Hester also had six kills on a .400 hitting clip. The Trojans offense hit .400 in the frame, proving to be too much firepower for the Owls to contain.

Quotable โ head coach Josh Lauerย
"I think we got more efficient attacking-wise. Our service game really set the tone in sets three and four. We put a lot more pressure on them, and that was a huge difference maker for usโฆ I thought โ all night long โ Amiah was our most stable and consistent player from an energy and execution standpoint. It's nice when other people are working to get themselves in the match."ย
