TROY, Ala. – The Sun Belt Conference announced the 2024-25 men's basketball conference schedule on Thursday afternoon. Troy will be hosting nine conference games at Trojan Arena while hitting the road for nine games.
"We are very excited about our challenging conference schedule that will once again show why the Sun Belt is the premier mid-major conference," head coach Scott Cross said. "The Sun Belt office did a fantastic job putting together a slate of games that will allow for competitive play each and every night."
The Trojans, who finished third in the Sun Belt standings at 13-5 last season, open their conference play at Trojan Arena on Dec. 21 against Georgia State. The conference will then break for the holidays, with Troy returning to action on Jan. 2 at App State.
From there, the Trojans will head east to Huntington, W.Va., to take on Marshall on Jan. 4 before returning home for a pair of games against Texas State (Jan. 9) and Arkansas State (Jan. 11).
On Jan. 15, Troy is back on the road to face off against ULM before heading to Mobile, Ala., to take on in-state rival South Alabama on Jan. 18.
The Trojans then begin their longest homestand of the conference schedule as they welcome Southern Miss to Trojan Arena on Jan. 23 before gearing up for another meeting against South Alabama on Jan. 25. Troy closes out its extended stay at Trojan Arena with games against Georgia Southern (Jan. 30) and ULM (Feb. 1).
For the first time in program history, Troy will make the trip to Harrisonburg, Va., to take on James Madison on Feb. 5. The Trojan conference schedule will come to a one-game pause for the MAC-SBC Challenge on Feb. 8. Troy will play a MAC team to be announced at a later date.
Troy's postseason push begins on the road at Louisiana on Feb. 12 before heading to Arkansas State on Feb. 15.
Troy's final two home games of the season come on Feb. 20 against Louisiana and on Feb. 22 against Coastal Carolina. The regular season wraps up with Troy on the road against Texas State (Feb. 25) and Southern Miss (Feb. 28).
For the fifth-straight season, the Sun Belt Tournament will be hosted at the Bay Center in Pensacola, Fla., from March 4-10.
The regular season kicks off on Monday, Nov. 4, with Troy hosting Toledo in the MAC-SBC Challenge.
