TROY, Ala. – After a successful two-year stint with Troy, Aamer Muhammad has signed a professional deal with BC Barsy Atyrau in Kazakhstan.
"We are super excited to hear the great news that Aamer is going to be playing professionally in Kazakhstan for BC Barsy Atyrau," head coach Scott Cross said. "Aamer deserves this great opportunity, as he has consistently worked to become a professional basketball player. I am very thankful for all that he did for our basketball program. He helped us win 40 games over the last two years, and I still remember his performance against Florida State in 2022 when he helped lead us to victory. I look forward to watching Aamer do great things this season!"
BC Barsy Atyrau is located in the western Kazakhstan city of Atyrau. The club has appeared in the Kazakhstan Basketball Championship Finals in 12 of the last 13 seasons and has been the runner-up in the last eight seasons.

He finished with 1,510 points in his five-year collegiate career.
He started 31 games and appeared in all 32 games for the Trojans last season and logged an average of 25.0 minutes per game. He finished tied for third on the team in scoring with 11.3 points per game and was third in assists with 2.1. Muhammad scored a season best 23 points and knocked down the dagger three late in the second half in Troy's home win over South Alabama.
