TROY, Ala. - Troy catcher Brooks Bryan is coming off a tremendous sophomore campaign that saw him rewrite the school record book with 85 RBIs, and his production at the plate has him getting some buzz for the 2025 MLB Draft.Â
Prep Baseball Report released its Top 50 College Hitters for the 2025 MLB Draft this month, and Bryan came in at No. 16 on the list. Bryan is one of two players from the Sun Belt Conference on the list and was the No. 4 ranked catcher.Â
This spring, the Opelika, Ala., native was one of the Sun Belt's most feared power hitters, leading Troy with 18 home runs and a .589 slugging percentage. He batted .279 on the season and his 85 RBIs not only led the conference but ranked fifth nationally. Â
This summer, Bryan starred with the USA Collegiate National Team during its five-game sweep of Chinese Taipei, as well as playing in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League with the Cotuit Kettleers. Â
Troy has seen three players get selected in the MLB Draft during head coach Skylar Meade's three seasons with the program, and Bryan looks to be next in line.Â
