Troy Selected to Host 2025 Sun Belt Softball Championship

TROY, Ala. – The Sun Belt Conference Softball Championship is returning to the Troy Softball Complex in 2025, the league office announced Monday. The 2025 event will mark the fifth time that Troy has played host to the event, the second most in the league, and first time since 2021.

"Troy has a long history hosting the Sun Belt Conference Softball Championship, and we look forward to once again welcoming our conference partners to our beautiful campus and our amazing Troy Softball Complex in 2025," Troy Director of Athletics Brent Jones said. "On behalf of Chancellor Hawkins, our university administration and athletics department, we would like to thank Commissioner Gill and the Sun Belt Conference for entrusting Troy University with hosting this prestigious event, and we will work tirelessly to put on another first-class event."

The Sun Belt Championship, which is scheduled for Wednesday, May 7, thru Saturday, May 10, features the top 10 teams in the league in a single-elimination event. Troy has previously hosted the Championship in 2008, 2013, 2017 and 2021.

"As one of the nation's premier softball leagues and a consistent multi-bid conference, we anticipate a first-class experience for our student-athletes and fans at the Troy Softball Complex next spring."
