Football Adds West Georgia to 2028 Schedule

TROY, Ala. – Troy completed its 2028 non-conference football schedule on Thursday, adding West Georgia on Sept. 9, 2028, at Veterans Memorial Stadium. The Trojans will also host NC State and travel to Clemson and UAB in 2028.
The meeting with West Georgia will be the 12th all-time between the two schools but first since 1991. Troy leads the series against Wolves by a 9-2 margin, with three games coming between 1947 and 1952 before Troy and Georgia State played every season from 1984 to 1991.
West Georgia is currently transitioning to the Division I ranks and will compete in football in the United Athletic Conference beginning in 2024.
