Troy Completes 2027 Non-Conference Football Schedule with Trip to Miami

TROY, Ala. – Troy completed its 2027 non-conference football schedule on Wednesday with the announcement of a trip to Hard Rock Stadium on Sept. 11 for a matchup with Miami (Fla.).
"This is going to be an exciting game for our football program and our tremendous fans in a destination city," Director of Athletics Brent Jones said. "Our connection to Miami is unique as it was one of our first opponents during the inaugural 2001 FBS season. The 2027 season, which will feature seven home games for the first time in a regular season, is loaded with marquee matchups."
Troy's non-conference slate in 2027 features home games against Mississippi State, Buffalo and Southeastern Louisiana in addition to the trip to Miami. Coupled with Troy's four Sun Belt Conference home games, the 2027 season will be the first in program history with seven regular season home games.
The game will be the second meeting between the two schools, with the first coming during Troy's inaugural season at the FBS level in 2001. The Trojans and Hurricanes were tied 7-7 at the end of the first quarter following a LeBarron Black 2-yard touchdown pass from Brock Nutter before Miami pulled away for a 38-7 victory and eventually a national title.
