Troy Thrashes LaGrange, 105-60

TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's basketball team wrapped up its home non-conference slate with an emphatic 105-60 win over LaGrange College on Tuesday night inside Trojan Arena.
Troy (7-4) scored in triple-figures for the first time since Dec. 12, 2023, when it defeated SUNO 110-63. Randarious Jones tied his career-high on Tuesday night with a game-best 15 points on 5-6 shooting. The first time he scored 15 points was in Troy's win over SUNO last season.
The Trojans finished the game shooting 52.9 percent from the field and 34.5 percent from the field. The entire roster – minus the three Trojans redshirting this season – registered points in the game. In Saturday's win, 13 of the 14 players scored. In addition to Jones, Thomas Dowd (12), Jerrell Bellamy (10) and Theo Seng (10) scored in double-figures. The Trojans got a season-high 66 points from the bench.
Troy came out of the gate strong, taking a 12-4 lead into the first media timeout. Marcus Rigsby Jr. had six of Troy's first 12 points. The Trojans continued to extend its lead as the half progressed and were leading the Panthers 46-29 at the under-four media timeout. Going into the halftime break, Troy was leading 55-34. The Trojans 55 first-half points were its most in the first 20 minutes of a game since it had 55 against Old Dominion on Jan. 4, 2024.
Jones had 10 of his 15 points in the half. Thirteen of Troy's 14 players scored in the first half. Dowd, Rigsby Jr., and Jackson Fields had six points in the frame. The Trojans shot 52.5 percent in the half. On defense, Troy forced LaGrange into 11 first-half turnovers and held the Panthers to 27.6 percent shooting.
Troy opened the second half on a 12-0 run to balloon its lead to 33. The Trojans offense and defense continued to dominate, and Troy saw its biggest lead of the night – 47 – with 7:37 remaining in the game. Seng had eight points to lead the Trojans in the final 20 minutes.
The rebounding battle went the way of the Trojans, as they dominated the glass 50-32. It was Troy's second-straight game with 50 or more rebounds after grabbing 54 against Middle Georgia State on Saturday. Troy also had 23 offensive rebounds, which are its most since Jan. 19, 2023, when it had 22 against James Madison in Trojan Arena. Fields had nine rebounds to lead all players.
Defensively, Troy tied its season-high with 15 steals. Five players had two or more steals, while Tayton Conerway led with three steals.
Troy also led in points off turnovers (22-12), points in the paint (50-20), fastbreak points (26-11) and bench points (66-29).
LaGrange was led by Kameron McCall with 12 points, while Devin Dowell had 10.
