TROY, Ala. - Troy head coach Skylar Meade announced the school's 56-game, 2025 baseball schedule Thursday afternoon.
The Trojans host 29 games at the newly renovated Riddle-Pace Field and will play a competitive schedule highlighted by games at Auburn, Mississippi State and Virginia Tech and a home-and-home with Alabama. In total, the Trojans face seven 2024 NCAA Regional Teams and 13 clubs that finished in the top 100 of the NCAA RPI rankings last season.
"This will be another challenging schedule ahead for the Trojans in 2025," Meade said. "Our goal is to put ourselves in a position if you play well, win games and win on the road, then you are in the RPI hunt come the end of May. Playing four SEC games, our annual in-state foes, Virginia Tech and playing in a top five league nationally should put us in a great position if we play great baseball."
Troy is coming off a 2024 campaign which saw it reach new heights with a No. 21 national ranking, its first top 25 ranking since 2013. Meade's 109 wins over his first three seasons are the most-ever in the first three seasons by a Troy head coach while his 77 wins over the past two seasons is Troy's best two-year span since 2006-07.
The Trojans begin the 2025 season Feb. 14-16, hosting Saint Louis and Bellarmine in a multi-team event at Riddle-Pace Field. Troy will take on Saint Louis in the Friday season opener before playing a doubleheader on Saturday with a noon matchup with Saint Louis and a 5 p.m. matchup with Bellarmine. Troy and Bellarmine will meet again on Sunday at 1 p.m. to wrap up opening weekend.
Following a midweek tilt at Auburn on Feb. 18, Northwestern State makes the return trip to Troy Feb. 21-23 after the Trojans traveled to Natchitoches, La., to take on the Demons last season. Troy makes another SEC trip to Mississippi State on Feb. 25 before heading back home to face UAB the next day.
Troy meets Penn for the first time in program history as they'll welcome the back-to-back Ivy League champions to Riddle-Pace Field for a three-game series Feb. 28-March 2.
The Trojans begin a nine-game road swing, their longest of the season, at Alabama on March 5 before a three-game series at USC Upstate March 7-9. Troy heads to Jacksonville State on March 11 and opens Sun Belt play at Louisiana March 14-16 before wrapping up the road trip at UAB on March 18.
Troy hosts Coastal Carolina for its first home Sun Belt series (March 21-23) and will also host SBC foes Marshall (March 28-30), ULM (April 17-19), Texas State (April 25-27) and Southern Miss (May 15-17) at Riddle-Pace Field this spring.
Sun Belt road trips include Louisiana (March 14-16), the program's first meeting with Old Dominion (April 4-6), James Madison (April 11-13), South Alabama (May 2-4) and Arkansas State (May 9-11).
In the non-conference, Troy heads to Florida A&M on March 25 with the Rattlers making the return trip to Troy on April 2. In between Troy's series at Old Dominion and James Madison, the Trojans will head to Blacksburg, Va., for their first-ever meeting with Virginia Tech on April 8.
The Trojans are also set to travel to Alabama State (April 22) and Samford (May 7), while hosting return trips from Jacksonville State (April 29) and Alabama (May 6).
The Sun Belt Conference Tournament returns to Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, Ala., May 20-25 as the league's top ten teams look to crown a conference champion and earn an automatic bid in the NCAA Tournament.
