Troy Season Finale Against Southern Miss Set for 1 p.m.

TROY, Ala. -- Troy's season finale against Southern Miss has been announced as a 1 p.m. kickoff on ESPN+, the Sun Belt Conference announced Monday afternoon.

Troy Athletics will celebrate the career of Troy Football secretary Judy Morgan on Saturday, Nov. 30, with Judy Morgan Day at The Vet in conjunction with Troy's season finale against Southern Miss.
Momma Judy, who is in her 25th season with Troy Football and 30th with Troy University, will retire from Troy University at the end of 2024. Morgan has worked with five head football coaches and been part of 10 conference championship teams.
"Ms. Judy is such an integral part of Troy Football and has been for over 25 years. Her impact has been felt by coaches, staff, players, parents and fans. She has acted as a second mother to thousands of young men who have come through this program," Athletics Director Brent Jones said. "We congratulate Ms. Judy on her retirement and encourage everyone who has been impacted by her to join us for Judy Morgan Day at The Vet."
To celebrate Ms. Judy's final game, all former football student-athletes, coaches and staff who have had the privilege of working with her are invited to join us at Veterans Memorial Stadium for the celebration. Prior to the game, a tailgate will be held in Tailgate Terrace for all returning members of the football program to visit with Miss Judy, and she will also lead the team in Trojan Walk.
During the game, a special presentation will take place at the end of the first quarter as all returning players, coaches and staff members are invited to join Miss Judy on the field. Coach Larry Blakeney and Mrs. Janice Blakeney will be among those who plan to attend the celebrations honoring Judy. Additional items will be shared throughout the game, celebrating the career and legacy of Judy Morgan.

Troy Athletics is excited to welcome back the 2009 Sun Belt Championship team on Saturday, Nov. 30, when Troy Football closes out the 2024 season against Southern Miss at The Vet. The celebration includes a pregame tailgate party and in-game recognition.
All returning members of the 2009 Sun Belt Championship team will receive complimentary tickets to the game and will join the 2024 team for Trojan Walk before the game. Additionally, Troy Athletics will hold a pregame tailgate party for the team in Tailgate Terrace.
During the game, the members of the 2009 Sun Belt Championship team will be honored on the field to celebrate their historic season. Team members are asked to RSVP to Jack Brown at 334-808-6341 or via email at jdbrown@troy.edu.
2009 Sun Belt Champions
Led by Sun Belt Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year, Levi Brown, the 2009 Trojans became the first team in league history to finish 8-0 in conference play en route to a fourth straight Sun Belt title and berth in the GMAC Bowl as Troy finished the season 9-4.
Brown set a Troy single-season record with 4,254 passing yards (first QB in Sun Belt history to top the 4,000-yard mark) and averaged 327.8 yards of total offense per game. His favorite target was Jerrel Jernigan, who finished the season with 71 catches for 1,101 yards and four touchdowns, while Tebiarus Gill added six touchdown receptions.
The ground game was paced by Sun Belt Freshman of the Year Shawn Southward's 12 touchdowns and 602 yards, while DuJuan Harris added 10 scores and 583 yards as the Trojans hit opponents with a balanced rushing attack.
The "Killer Bs" headlined Troy's defense, with Boris Lee and Bear Woods forming the best linebacker combo in the league. The pair combined for 170 tackles, six sacks, 19.5 tackles for loss and two interceptions.
After opening the season with losses to Bowling Green and Florida, head coach Larry Blakeney's squad rolled off seven straight wins before a mid-November loss to Arkansas. The Trojans rebounded to defeat Florida Atlantic and Louisiana behind a combined 95 points to complete the Sun Belt sweep.
