TROY, Ala. – Troy Athletics and P4 Physical Therapy announced Tuesday a partnership that implements P4 Physical Therapy as Troy's official physical therapy provider, replacing ATI.
Â
"Led by a pair of Troy alums, P4 Physical Therapy is an industry leader in physical therapy solutions for student-athletes," Troy Athletics Director Brent Jones said. "The health and well-being of our student-athletes is our top priority, and welcoming P4 Physical Therapy to the Troy Family will provide our student-athletes with not only additional resources but also with elite medical care."
Â
The new partnership provides Troy Athletics with a full-time and part-time physical therapist on campus, providing Troy's student-athletes with more schedule flexibility. The P4 staff will work alongside Troy's athletic trainers to increase the effectiveness of rehabilitation for our injured student-athletes.Â
Â
Dr. Dugas and Dr. Law will still maintain their relationship with the department as orthopedist surgeon and team doctor, respectively.
Â
"As a local and regional business, with partners that are alumni of Troy University, the opportunity to work with the leadership at Troy is both special and personal to us here at P4 Physical Therapy," P4 co-owner and Troy alum Tracy Causey said. "We are very excited to partner with Troy Athletics in an effort to enhance the overall quantity of athletic training services required to support the growing demands of collegiate sports and the student-athletes."
Â
Former Troy baseball player Chris Hummel joins Causey on the P4 Physical Therapy leadership team.Â
