TROY, Ala. – The clock continues to tick down towards the tipoff of Troy men's and women's basketball as Troy athletics is proud to announce Trojan Madness, presented by Alabama Department of Public Health, in Trojan Arena on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 5:45 p.m.
"Trojan Madness is one of our favorite events of the year because it's an opportunity to connect with our Trojan student body," head women's basketball coach Chanda Rigby said. "It is a high-energy evening that really gets us excited for the season."
The event is open to everyone looking to celebrate both basketball programs before their 2024-25 seasons start and increase anticipation for the Troy-Coastal Carolina Homecoming football game (Saturday, Nov. 2, at 3 p.m.).
Basketball head coaches Rigby and Scott Cross and head football coach Gerad Parker headline the event. Additionally, multiple players from all three programs will speak and interact with all the fans in attendance.
Outside of the speakers, the event features both programs' hype videos, cheers from the Troy cheer team, a 3-point contest between the men and women and the announcement for the winners of Mr./Mrs. Trojan Pride and Spirit Stick.
"Trojan Madness means that the season is right around the corner," Cross said. "Our players love this event because of the awesome energy our students and fans bring to Trojan Arena. I look forward to celebrating the start of a great season for both men's and women's basketball here at Troy."
