Men’s Basketball Announces Complete 2023-24 Schedule

TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's basketball program finalized its schedule for the 2023-24 season, head coach Scott Cross announced Tuesday afternoon. The Trojans have a pair of power-five non-conference matchups against Oregon State and Ole Miss and the first-ever Trojan Classic, hosted in Troy the week of Thanksgiving.
"Scheduling is never easy, so we are relieved to finally have our non-conference schedule completed. We have a great mix of competition that will prepare us to make a run for a Sun Belt Championship," Cross said. "We cannot wait to get it all started & look forward to seeing all of our loyal fans in Trojan Arena."
Troy opens its season at home on Monday, Nov. 6 as they host Fort Lauderdale at Trojan Arena. The Trojans then embark on their first road trip of the season as they head to Athens, Ohio on Nov. 8 to take on Ohio in the MAC-SBC Challenge. The Trojans will host a member of the MAC in the second part of the MAC-SBC Challenge on Feb. 10.
Following that, the Trojans head west to take on Oregon State on Friday, Nov. 12 in Corvallis, Ore. This is the first of two power-five matchups Troy has this season - marks the first time the Trojans and Beavers have faced off.
Troy is back at Trojan Arena on Nov. 14 for a matchup against Reinhardt.
After five days off, Troy hosts the first-ever Trojan Classic, playing Sam Houston on Nov. 20 and Grambling State on Nov. 24.
"We are fired up to host the Trojan Classic against Sam Houston State & Grambling State," Cross said.
On Nov. 27 the Trojans are on the road as they face off against Eastern Kentucky in Richmond, Ky. Troy opens the month of December against SIU-Edwardsville on Dec. 1 at Trojan Arena.
The Trojans head back to Ohio on Dec. 9 as they take on Dayton, before heading home on Dec. 12 to play SUNO at Trojan Arena.
In its second power-five matchup of the season, Troy heads to University, Miss., to play Ole Miss. The Trojans are 0-5 all-time against Ole Miss. The two teams haven't faced off since December 2015.
Troy wraps up its fall non-conference slate at home on Dec. 21 when it hosts Eastern Kentucky.
The Trojans open conference play on Dec. 30, in Conway, S.C., against Coastal Carolina, before playing their conference home opener against Old Dominion on Jan. 4.
Troy follows its conference home opener with three straight games at Trojan Arena against Appalachian State on Jan. 6, the 2022-23 conference champions Louisiana on Jan. 10, before wrapping up its homestand against Southern Miss on Jan. 13.
The team heads to Mobile, Ala., to take on conference rival South Alabama on Jan 18., before heading north to face off against Southern Miss in Hattiesburg on Jan. 20.
Trojan Arena welcomes the team back home for a pair of contests against Texas State on Jan. 24 and South Alabama on Jan. 27.
Troy then makes its way east to the Peach State for a two-game road trip against Georgia Southern on Feb. 1 and Georgia State on Feb. 3.
The Trojans open their final homestand of the season on Feb. 7 when they host Marshall, Arkansas State on Feb. 15, and ULM on Feb. 17.
The regular season comes to an end on a long road trip spanning four games against Arkansas State (Feb. 22), ULM (Feb. 24), Louisiana (Feb. 28) and Texas State (March 1).
Sun Belt Conference play wraps up with the conference tournament in Pensacola, Fla., from March 6-11.
