Troy Hosts Sole Exhibition Match Against Jacksonville State

TROY, Ala. – Troy takes on the Jacksonville State Gamecocks on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Trojan Arena for its sole exhibition match before the beginning of the non-conference schedule.
This will be the first look at the Trojan offense since the graduation of multiple key players, including Amara Anderson and Halston Hillier. Tori Hester and Julia Brooks will look to pick up where they left off at the end of last season, where they spearheaded the Trojan offense at the net-for a combined number of 862 kills.
Tomorrow's exhibition match introduces four new freshman Trojans to the court, Sydney Austin, Audrey Worthington, Addison Kersting and Emma Blaine.
This will be the 39th meeting between the two teams with Troy leading the all-time series 21-17. The Trojans enter the match with a current win streak of three against the Gamecocks.
The Trojans and the Gamecocks first met in the 1983 season before either program was classified as DI. The programs faced off three times in the '83 season with Troy winning two of the three matchups. Troy took the last match-up in a tournament hosted by Jacksonville State in 2019.
