TROY, Ala. – Coming off their eighth straight win in the midweek over UAB, Troy baseball turns their attention to the weekend as they get set for a three-game series from Riddle-Pace Field with the Spartans from USC-Upstate. The series begins on Friday, March 3rd at 6 p.m., with all games being broadcasted on ESPN+.
The 2023 Troy team (8-0) enters the weekend as only one of nine teams in the country to remain unbeaten. This will be the two programs' first-ever meeting with one another.
"This is what we need; we need great programs to come here and challenge us," head coach Skylar Meade said." "It's going to be tough, but it's why you come to Troy to play, to compete against great opponents."
Meade has led the Trojans to the third-best start in program history as they look to continue to match the 1990 Trojan's record of 11 straight games won to begin the season. In 1982, Troy won a record 13 consecutive games before losing their first game.
