TROY, Ala. – Basketball season is right around the corner, and that means it's time for Trojan Madness to help kick off the season for the players, coaches and fans. The annual event, which is open to all, is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 13, at 5:15 p.m. in Trojan Arena.
In addition to the Trojan Madness festivities, the event will serve as a pep rally for the Homecoming football game between Troy and Texas State that will take place that Saturday at The Vet. Head coach Jon Sumrall and Troy's captains will be on hand to address fans.
Women's head coach Chanda Rigby and men's head coach Scott Cross will also speak to the fans to open the evening's events.
The evening features a slam dunk contest, a 3-point contest and the SGA Spirit Stick. Additionally, there will be plenty of prizes to be given away throughout the evening.
The defending Sun Belt champion Troy women's team opens its season on Nov. 7 at Samford, and the Trojan men, coming off their first 20-win season since 2017, open at home against Montevallo on Nov. 7.
