Troy Announces Times for Football Home Games

TROY, Ala. – Kickoff times for all six of Troy's home football games have been set as the Trojans prepare for their first season under head coach Jon Sumrall.

Troy's first three home games of the season – Alabama A&M (Sept. 10), Marshall (Sept. 24) and Southern Miss (Oct. 8) – are slated for 6 p.m. kickoffs, while the final three home games – Texas State (Oct. 15), Army (Nov. 12) and ULM (Nov. 19) – will kickoff at 2:30 p.m. Kickoff times are subject to change due to the Sun Belt's contract with ESPN.

Troy returns 10 starters on offense, including All-Sun Belt selections in left tackle Austin Stidham, receiver Tez Johnson and running back Kimani Vidal. Defensively, the Trojans return nine starters led by All-American linebacker Carlton Martial and All-American bandit Javon Solomon. Additionally, the Troy defense returns All-Sun Belt selections Will Choloh, KJ Robertson, Reddy Steward, Richard Jibunor and TJ Harris.

The Trojans are coming off a season where they ranked 24th nationally in total defense, 15th in turnovers forced, 10th in tackles for loss and 11th in sacks. Martial finished sixth in the country, averaging 10.6 tackles per game, while Solomon was seventh with 0.92 sacks and ninth with 1.5 tackles for loss per game.
