Troy Announces Bowl Social at Dec. 10 Hoops Doubleheader

TROY, Ala. – The Sun Belt champion Troy Football team will be in Trojan Arena on Saturday, Dec. 10, in conjunction with the Troy Basketball doubleheader to celebrate their record seventh Sun Belt Conference championship and trip to the Cure Bowl against No. 22 UTSA.

Sun Belt Coach of the Year Jon Sumrall will be in the Trojan Arena rotunda between games. to meet with fans and take pictures with the Sun Belt championship trophy. Troy Athletics will provide complimentary food and beverages for fans during this time. Additionally, fans who have already purchased their bowl or Community Hero bowl tickets and qualify for a bowl poster can pick those up in the Trojan Arena Guest Services Booth and have them autographed by Coach Sumrall.

Members of the football team will be recognized at halftime of the men's game, and Troy Athletics staff members will be onsite to assist with bowl ticket sales and digital ticket downloads. Fans who purchase a bowl ticket at the event will receive a bowl poster that they can get signed by Coach Sumrall.

The first 75 Troy University students in attendance for the doubleheader will receive a voucher for a free ticket, and an additional 25 free tickets will be raffled off for Troy students in attendance, which will take place in the second half of the men's game and students must be present to win. When prompted, students will be able to claim their tickets at the end of the doubleheader behind the student section.

The Troy women host Mercer at 2 p.m., and the men play Tennessee Tech at 4:30 p.m. Fans can purchase general admission tickets for the doubleheader for only $5 by visiting TroyTrojans.com/tickets.

Bowl tickets are now on sale for only bowl matchup pitting conference champions against each other. Both Troy and UTSA enter the Cure Bowl ranked in the College Football Playoff final rankings and are ranked in all three major polls. Fans can visit TroyTrojans.com/CureBowl or call 334-670-3681 to purchase or for more information.

Fans who donate $500 or more towards Community Hero Bowl Tickets will be able to pick up their commemorative SBC Championship Ticket while at the basketball doubleheader. For any fans who donate $5,000 or more, we will coordinate with you directly about a preferred time to have the SBC Championship Trophy visit your home.

Additionally, fans will be treated to a larger-than-normal Sound of the South pep band for the two games.Â
