Baseball Takes on Northwest Florida State in Fall Game

TROY, Ala. – The leaves are changing colors, and fall is in the air, and so is Troy baseball as they are in the midst of their fall schedule with Northwest Florida State coming into town Friday, October. 14 at 5 p.m. from Riddle-Pace Field.
"It's been an exciting start to the fall," head coach Skylar Meade said. "We have a lot of new players on our roster, so much of the fall has been about integration into our system with group work and team practices and building team camaraderie. Fortunately, this Friday night, we get to get out under the lights and get our first little taste of Doubles Alley. I'm excited to see where we get to when we wrap up the fall on November. 11."
With the ongoing upgrades to Riddle-Pace Field, fans are invited to watch the action from the outfield on Tailgate Terrace.
This will be the second game the Trojans play on the fall schedule after Troy traveled to Starkville, Miss., to play Mississippi State earlier in the month.
This will be a good test for the Trojans to understand where they stand, as the Raiders finished last season 30-20. Many of Troy's newcomers will be featured, including Eastern Michigan transfer Zach Fruit and Perfect Game Top 50 JUCO to Campus recipients Ben Thompson and Grady Gorgen.
