Men's Tennis adds one for the 2021-22 season

TROY, Ala. – Troy men's tennis head coach Rolando Vargas announced the signing of Noah Martens to a National Letter of Intent on Friday. Martens will join the Trojans for the 2021-22 season and joins a Trojan squad that posted a 20-4 overall record and led the Sun Belt Conference in overall wins.

Get To Know Noah
• He is currently ranked No. 69 among all men in Belgium and has gotten as high as 219 in the ITF Rankings
• A Four-time Flemish Champion (most all-time)
• Two-time Belgium Champion
• Two ITF Juniors titles
• Won Tennis Europe Grade 1 in Belgium, joining past champions such as Del Potro and Kei Nishikori, while also being the only Belgian to ever win it
• Earned a career-high UTR ranking of 12.75

"I'm really excited to add Noah to give us some added strength in the top of the lineup. I've talked to him for a while and not only has he impressed me with his personality, but also his work ethic. He possesses a complete powerful game that can also adjust to slower courts. He has had outstanding junior results in singles and doubles, winning several hard competitions in Europe. He is eager to get started and make an impact right away. I cannot wait to have Noah on a team that is returning a lot of important players in addition to Maxime Hillhouse who we signed earlier. I am looking forward for the Fall already and cannot wait to add Noah to the Trojan family! Vamos Trojans!
