Troy Welcomes Devonte Ross to Football Signing Class

TROY, Ala. – Troy finalized its early signing class Thursday with the addition of game-changing wide receiver Devonte Ross from Cartersville, Ga., head coach Jon Sumrall announced. Ross initially signed with Kentucky out of high school but never enrolled in school.
"We had the fortune of signing Devonte at Kentucky last year, so I know the caliber player and person we are getting when he comes to Troy in January," Sumrall said. "Devonte has game-changing ability on the outside as he has the skills to go up and get the ball plus the dynamic ability to make people miss with the ball in his hands."
Devonte joins five players who signed on Wednesday's opening day of the NCAA's early signing period to close out the Trojans' early signing class. Ross, who will have five years of eligibility to play four seasons, is expected to enroll at Troy in January.
