TROY, Ala. – Troy's All-American long snapper Cameron Kaye is heading to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl as he officially accepted his invitation on Wednesday.
Founded in 2012, the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl gives prospective players the best opportunity to showcase their talents to potential employers and fans. Nearly 200 scouts, player personnel staff, general managers and head coaches from all 32 NFL teams are expected to be in attendance to watch live practices, conduct player interviews and review tape.
Scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 29, at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif., the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl will have a pair of Super Bowl coaches on the sidelines in Marvin Lewis and Jeff Fisher.
Kaye, a native of Naples, Fla., was named to the Special Teams U All-America Third Team yesterday and is a semifinalist for the Patrick Mannelly Award, which is presented annually to the nation's top long snapper.
A five-year starter for the Trojans, Kaye has amassed more than 500 snaps in his Troy career and has a 99.8 percent success rate on his field goals, extra points and punts snaps. Earlier this year, Kaye was selected to the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl Big Board, and he is expected to play in at least one other postseason all-star game.
Kaye graduated from Troy cum laude with a degree in exercise science in May 2020 and is currently pursuing his master's degree in exercise science.
