Need to Know – Gameday at The Vet; Louisiana Game

TROY, Ala. – Football is back at The Vet on Saturday when Troy hosts Louisiana on Homecoming at The Vet. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. between the Trojans and Ragin' Cajuns. Below is a full breakdown of all the happenings in and around the stadium before and during the game Saturday.
Fans can visit TroyTrojans.com/Gameday prior to each visit to campus to see the latest information on parking, traffic flow and tickets for each of Troy's home games.
Traffic Information
George Wallace Drive will CLOSE two (2) hours prior to kickoff until one (1) hour after the completion of the game from International Blvd. (traffic light at Charles Henderson High School) to Johnny Long Drive.
- Fans with access to National Guard Armory Lot and North End Zone Lot will be granted access to those lots within the two-hour closure with the proper parking pass. ALL traffic to those lots MUST enter from the north end of George Wallace Drive – from Downtown/Elm Street, not Highway 231.
Ticket Sales
Tickets are sold on gameday at the following locations:
Main Ticket Office (Tine Davis Fieldhouse) - 8 a.m. to kickoff
Riddle-Pace Field (Will Call) – 10 a.m. until halftime
Gate 1 (Tailgate Terrace) – 11 a.m. until halftime
Troy University Homecoming Parade
One of the staples of Homecoming at Troy each year is the annual parade around the Square in Downtown Troy. Beginning at 10 a.m., floats from various campus organizations and from the community in addition to the Sound of the South will hit the streets of Downtown Troy.
Horn Beverage Tailgate Terrace Concert Series
Troy's popular Horn Beverage Tailgate Concert Series returns for the 2021 season with an exciting lineup for each of the Trojans' six home games at The Vet. The free concerts will take place each week in Tailgate Terrace at 11:30 a.m.
POPulus is Troy University's popular music ensemble comprised of students in the Music Industry Program. Artists of diverse and eclectic styles blend with a concert production team in a unique musical environment honoring all genres of American popular music. The term POPulus was created by combining the musical genre "POP" with "ulus," a Mediterranean languages term for "Nation" or "People." With their dynamic vibe and distinctive name, their music appeals across genres, generations and geographic borders.
POPulus not only plays covers from well-known artists, but they also play original songs written by students from Troy University's Music Industry Program. Their music is available online at iTunes, Amazon, CD Baby and multiple streaming sites around the globe.
Troy Athletics Kids Zone
The Troy Kids Zone opens at 10:30 a.m. in Tailgate Terrace. Children of all ages are invited to take part in the fun with free inflatables until 1:30 p.m. This year, new to the Kids Zone will be a pair of Troy inflatables for the kids to play on with a Troy bounce house and a Troy football/soccer interactive game.
Trojan Walk
Troy's traditional pre-game march into Veterans Memorial Stadium, Trojan Walk, will begin at the intersection of University Avenue and George Wallace Drive. The Trojans will walk through the brick portal into Tailgate Terrace before entering the stadium at Gate 1. Trojan Walk will begin at 12:15 p.m.
Youth Cheer Clinic
The final Youth Cheer Clinic of the year will occur before the game against Louisiana, with participants receiving instruction from Troy's national championship cheerleading squad. The clinic is open to all children ages 5-12 and the cost is just $30.
In addition to instruction from the Troy Cheerleaders, participants will take part in an in-stadium performance during the game and join the Troy Cheerleaders at Trojan Walk.
A game ticket is required for entry to the stadium; they are available at a discounted rate by visiting TroyTrojans.com/YouthCheerClinic.
Beer Garden
Sponsored by Horn Beverage, Troy fans who are of age can enjoy a beer garden in Tailgate Terrace from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. All drinks purchased in the beer garden must remain in the marked area and all guests must be at least 21 years old to enter.
Food Trucks
Fans will be able to enjoy various food trucks along University Avenue beginning at 11 a.m. CB's Market, Bean Me Up Scottie Organic Eatery and J's Desserts will all be on hand Saturday.
Health Care Workers Day
It is Health Care Day at The Vet as all Health Care Industry employees can take advantage of a specially priced ticket by visiting www.TroyTrojans.com/Healthcare. For questions, contact Jeff Pope at (334) 808-6746 or jrpope@troy.edu. Deadline to purchase is Thursday, Nov. 11.
Girl Scout Day
It will be Girl Scout Day at The Vet as all local Girl Scouts can take advantage of a specially priced ticket by visiting www.TroyTrojans.com/GirlScouts. Participants that purchase through the link will receive a TROY Football patch, and will receive information about special pre-game activities.

Special Olympics Day
Troy is proud to welcome several Special Olympians as our guests to Saturday's Homecoming game. This group will be recognized during the game as we look forward to the return of the State of Alabama games returning once again this year for our Special Olympians.
Student Guest Tickets
Troy students may purchase $10 student guest tickets for this game. Students may visit the Troy Ticket Office or call 334-670-3681 to take advantage of this offer to bring family and friends to the game; student guest tickets are only available until 5 p.m. on Friday.
Fatima Fernandez Cano Returns
Troy welcomes home one of the top women's golfers in program and Sun Belt Conference history, Fatima Fernandez Cano, who is the first player in school history to earn her LPGA Tour Card.
Troy Sports Radio Network Pregame Show
Studio host Doug Amos is joined by "Voice of the Trojans" Barry McKnight, game analyst Jerry Miller and sideline reporter Junior Louissaint on location in Tailgate Terrace for the radio pregame show beginning at 12:30 p.m. to preview the game on the full Troy Sports Radio Network.
KW Plastics Recycling Bins
